Sunday was a pretty lazy day. No one wanted to come with me for groceries, so I was in and out in under an hour and back home. I was slightly disappointed to not have a reason to grab a lunch out as is part of the time we spend together when the girls come with me but we had hot dogs at home and they were a tasty treat. Beyond that I just lazed about and wanted to nap but couldn't because Hubs went down for one. Jerk :)
Monday was back to work for me and it was busy. I had five and a half hours of meetings and a stack of emails and suffice to say not much actual work got done. I did decide though that I was going to start taking a walk around the block, just to get out of my chair and out of the house for a few minutes. It was brisk out but I did it and felt better for it. I'm trying to find ways to be healthier as well as get a routine for working from home that I can continue. Just sitting on my butt staring at my computer is not going to do me any favours. Marshmallow was full of piss and vinegar last night. She was getting into everything and being a maniac for a good two hours. While it was fun to watch her zip about, having to clean up my spilled drink was not.
Tuesday was another crazy day at work. I'm absolutely swamped and I don't know how to catch up. I think I need to talk to my boss and ask her for more help as I don't even know where to start. I could work much longer than my scheduled time and still be behind. Bug had swimming lessons start again. They start before I'm off work so Hubs gets to go with her. Someone has to be in the pool at the same time as her for this one year yet. I'm happy, as I don't really want to get into the pool, it's always cold!
Wednesday I felt a little better and was able to get through some of the things I need to do at work. I still have more work to get done but at least my emails are under control. I got a message yesterday afternoon that I had to go pick up Bear from school as she'd had a headache for a while and it wasn't getting better. Just because of the rules with COVID it required her to come home but thankfully she didn't have to stay away for two days. I had a conversation with the principal as I picked her up and as long as she was feeling better by supper then they felt it was okay to come back the next day. We did find out later when I told her that she was going back to school that one of her classmates has been pulling her hair and grabbing her hard enough to hurt her so she didn't want to go back. I had a quick chat with the teacher and she was going to have a conversation with the class to remind them what was appropriate touching behaviour. I also had a nap after supper and woke up with a headache so that sucked. Hubs did a quick cleanup of the basement since there was a furnace tech coming on Thursday to clean and maintenance the furnace. There was nothing wrong with it besides it being quite loud but we felt that it should be checked just to keep it in good condition.
Thursday seemed to go by quickly. The furnace guy came and that went well. He said there were no issues, it just needed a good cleaning, so that was nice to hear. It is a relatively new furnace but you never know and I'm glad that there is nothing we have to worry about at this time. I've been starving lately. All I want to do is eat food all the time. It's not great for my waistline but my mouth is happy. Later in the evening I got really, really grumpy. I don't even have a reason for it but I wanted nothing to do with anyone. I ended up having my bath and watching Shawn the Sheep shorts. It did take my mind off being grumpy but I still went to bed fairly early. Beyond that we found out they've lowered the age to 48 for vaccines so my plan for tomorrow is to get Hubs a booked spot. Hopefully there is something available.
