Week of 6 June

Sunday was just a normal day for us here.  I made the grocery list and Bear and I went shopping.  We then stopped off at the garden centre and picked up a few flowers for the front of the house.  We didn't get them planted as it started to rain but I'm hopeful that we can get them in tomorrow or the day after.  As part of our normal routine we grab a lunch out, just the two of us that are on the grocery trip.  Bug and Hubs had plans to celebrate the end of swimming lessons so they were heading out for lunch as well and we ended up at the same place.  We all ate together and had a lovely meal that kept us stuffed.  We didn't eat supper until 6, which is very late for us.  About 4pm I ended up with a massive pain in my head.  It came on suddenly and laid me out for almost an hour.  I was actually so worried that I ended up chatting with an RN online to see what was going on.  It was decided that it was probably a migraine but it was definitely in a new spot for any one that I've experienced before.  After taking a few assorted pain killers I felt better but it was a long evening.  I had planned to watch the Juno's but Hubs wanted to watch them as well and he ended up booking a time to talk with his friend that is in the hospital at the same time so I've got them recorded to watch another night.  I ended the night reading some Reader's Digest magazines as I've got a backlog and then off to dreamland.

Monday was back to work for me but a day off for the children.  There was some drama as they did silly things like run into trees with their faces and get kites stuck in trees but overall it was a good day for them.  I had my second interview for the job that I applied for and I think it went okay.  Now it's just a waiting game to see if I got the job or not.  I know there are three other applicants so a one in four chance is not too bad.  We went and got ice cream as a relief that it was over.  Supper was a crockpot meal so there was no prep and I was able to relax and only monitor incoming chats for the last half hour.  Beyond that, we planted out the flowers that we got for the walkway and the girls helped.  Hubs and I finished a biography and then I had a shower and went to bed.  I got the same pain in my head as I was laying there and ended up with a headache all night.  It was not great.

Wednesday was a good day overall.  I was really engaged in work and felt like I got a lot accomplished as well as participating more than I sometimes do in a particular project.  Right at the end of the day, we learned that it seems like something is broken with the system but we don't have that for sure yet.  I also remembered to take my pills and of course, they helped with all the emotions and the eating but I ended up taking them too late in the day and I didn't sleep very well at all.  I know better but I think a little less sleep is not as important as getting the medication back into my system.  In the evening we watched the new show Loki.  I thought it was very good.  I'm a huge Tom Hiddleston fan and Loki is a great character that allows him to play all sorts of emotions as well as being so cheeky.  When he gives that little wink, I think the whole Hiddles Army melts as one.

Friday was supposed to be the day that a decision was made on the job that I applied for but near the end of the day, I received a call letting me know that the decision had been pushed out till probably Tuesday.  While it's nice to know that I'm still in the running, I would just like to have a yes or no at this point so I can decide what my next plans are going to be and stop worrying over what is going to happen.  Beyond that the day was good and I managed to get most of my work done.  In the evening Hubs and I watched a few episodes of Clarkson's Farm on Prime Video and it's so entertaining.  Jeremy is one of my favourite people anyways and seeing him in these situations that are outside of his comfort zones is great.
