Well, I tried to write a few days this week already and it's not working out for me lol.
Monday was a day to do nothing. I went out in the morning to grab some breakfast from Timmy's and then in the evening I ran out to get Hubs a coffee from Starbuck's and that was the extent of me leaving the house. The kids managed to not hate each other all day and played all sorts of things with a fort built in the middle of the living room. Since we had our turkey on Saturday there was no big mess to clean up and Hubs had a nap, while I did some cleaning of the sewing room. I would really love to be able to get back to doing some crafting but I just find it easier to veg on the couch in the evenings than go sit alone in the basement. I've also been thinking that I need to get a lamp for the living room so that I can do some needlework while watching TV. That would be a good compromise and I've got many projects that can be done. Marshmallow slept almost all day after a few good rips around in the morning. Must be a good life to be a cat, in a house, all warm and full of food with multiple sleeping places and things to do.
Tuesday was the first day of my holidays and yet I spent time working. This manager gig doesn't really give you time off unless you're out of the country. Hubs was also home and he ran a bunch of errands in the morning. In the early afternoon, I had a doctor's appointment to see if the blood pressure pills are working and it turns out they are not....boooo. So we've upped my dose and we'll see if that makes a difference. I also got the results of my ultrasound and I have a hemorrhagic cyst. Apparently, they are fairly common and not of concern but since it is giving me pain I'm being referred to a gynecologist to follow up and make sure that's all that's going on. I was warned that it's a long wait to see one though so maybe by next year :). The girls had skating lessons and those went well again. Bug is almost gliding and Bear is a little behind but still picking it up good. I started to look into joining a gym but haven't pulled the plug yet on one. There is one quite close to the house and it's one of the cheaper ones so maybe there but Hubs thinks I should look at other amenities that are offered before I make a choice. So we'll have to see.
Wednesday I ran out to Walmart first thing in the morning and picked up a few things I wanted. I was actually looking for a new bedside lamp as mine had given up and was able to find one that was suitable and not way too much money. I picked up a couple of other things as well, like a magazine and some yarn to make a couple of tuques. Even though I'm on holiday I had to jump on a call with my team yesterday to deal with some issues. I also got one more dresser top cleared off and neat so the one side of the bedroom looks great. It's so odd that they are clear though that every time I walk in the room I get startled that the space is there. Now just to keep them that way. Parent Council meeting happened in the evening and I now am the Treasurer. Not really sure what that means I have to do but I volunteered as no one else was and I can't just hang out and do nothing if I've made this commitment. The rest of the evening I just hung out with Hubs and had a shower before bed. I've still got the window cracked a little in the bedroom and it's chilly to start but then I get all snuggled in and things are great. It was raining though and there should be snow in the morning so it won't stay open too much longer.
