Yesterday we went for a drive and picked up a surprise for the girls. Turns out that surprise was a kitten and she is adorable. She has been christened Marshmallow and she's been the center of attention since she got here. She is still a very little girl so her day consists of eat, play, sleep, repeat. She is thankfully litter trained and is eating solid food so she's very busy all day alternating between the places she sleeps. I was quite worried that last night was going to be a very long night but she slept mostly through and only woke me up twice, one of which was just early this morning.
Today was my first day back at work since I took holidays last week. There were a bunch of emails to try to get through (not finished yet) and three meetings today that I had to attend and I was kept busy. Then Bear is home from school because there was a positive case in her class so I'm trying to keep her where she needs to be. Plus keeping a kitty out of trouble. I've had my hands full and I'm ready for nap, even if I can't have one.
As of now I'm just getting supper in the oven and wrapping up the day for today. I think I'll need a nap this evening just to keep going for the rest of the night. No big plans for evening though, some TV watching and a shower later are all that are on the go.
