Sunday started off as a normal day. I've found that since I stopped watching videos/Netflix/Prime until 11pm I wake up early and refreshed for my day, even if I didn't sleep all that well or was up because of kids or kitten issues. I'm awake before my alarm and ready to go for the day, not even wanting a nap in the afternoon, when before I was struggling to turn off the alarm and not go back to sleep. I'm guessing it must have been the blue light because there are still days I stay up reading until almost that time but don't have the same issues. Once I was up I got my grocery list all sorted out and ready. I then had a shower, breakfast, and grabbed a kid for the trip. This week it was Bug and that meant that I knew where we would have our lunch out. After we got home from that I mentioned to Hubs that I was till having pain in my abdomen that was making me very uncomfortable. He told me to go to the doctor and since it had been two days of pain I decided to listen to him. I just went to the mediclinic and while I ended up waiting for about an hour (mostly because they forgot about me) I did get in with no issues. After having to have my urine analyzed to rule out an infection there the doctor felt my tummy and based off that he gave me some medication to stop stomach muscle contractions and requested I get an urgent ultrasound. Of course there are no ultrasound places open on the weekend so they said they would call me in the morning to let me know where and when to go. Evening was pretty chill and I got to bed early while not feeling too badly. I've opened the window in the bedroom for the season so it was delightfully cool in there and Marshmallow snuggled in close.
Monday was back to work and thankfully not too many meetings to start the week. I was also awaiting the phone call to let me know where and when to get my ultrasound, which came at about 8:45am. They were able to book me in for 2:30pm and I just needed to stop eating and have a full bladder. The appointment itself was good but of course they never tell you anything. They did say that the results would be available to the doctor within 24 hours but as of yet I haven't heard anything. Bear was feeling a little down so we went for a drive and got a tea and had a nice chat. The evening was boring, Hubs was watching the hockey game so I read for a bit and then we watched a show till bedtime.
Tuesday was another regular day until we got a notification that the presumptive case that had been identified in Bear's class was actually confirmed positive and was a VoC case. They recommended that everyone in the class get tested and families could also get tested at the same time. So instead of waiting in line, we booked an appointment and got in at 6:30pm. Now we are just hoping to not get a call because that would mean someone was positive and that would not be fun. I also got the call from the doctor that said all my tests were normal so there is still no plan or idea of what is causing my abdominal pain. I booked a phone consultation with my family doctor to see what he says. Hubs and I didn't have a very good day yesterday and we both were angry and short tempered and I wasn't in a mood to deal with him at all.
Wednesday and I'm finding my patience and good will are in short supply. I don't want to work and I don't want to be around humans. Work is not stupid right now but there is a lot of moving parts and I'm still feeling that I'm not getting the support I need from my boss. Home life is fine, Bear is getting bored of being home all day but we are keeping her caught up on her schoolwork as it comes in and she has two virtual sessions a day. Last night was my parent council meeting and that was good. I got to get off my chest how I felt about the notification we received about Bear having to stay home and there were plans made for all the upcoming things that the school needs. Beyond that I went to bed early and slept well until Bear joined me.
